Celebrating the 4th

It was a pretty quiet day compared to most of our 4th of July celebrations...I think we were the only Americans in the area. We did notice on the radio stations that the DJ's kept wishing everyone a happy 4th of July and they called it their "Independence Weekend." Totally stealing our holiday! haha.

We took a picnic lunch to a park near Botany Bay and it was a beautiful (but chilly) day! Botany Bay forks for miles and forms many different rivers/creeks/bay inlets, and there are large homes lining the waterways for miles. It reminds me a lot of the keys at South Lake Tahoe, which is where we usually go for the 4th, so we kinda felt at home! Sadly, no fireworks show.

I also wanted to show eveyone our fabulous view of downtown Sydney from our front porch.
