We are a bit behind on blogging, so read the next few posts in portions if you don't have a lot of time! So much has happened in the last 5 days and we are now situated at our Sydney (Bangor) house-sit...more about that later. First, we'll start with the AFL game that we went to last Saturday with our new friends Joel & Jules. They picked us up in Meadowbrook and we had a quick bite at a cafe called 3 Monkeys in Brisbane's West End. After that, we headed to the stadium to stand in line for tickets to the night's match against Richmond (a Melbourne team). AFL is an interesting game - a mix between football, soccer and rugby with no pads and very few rules. Remember smear the queer when you were a kid? Well, this is a professional version of that!
Sadly, the lions lost their match but it was a great time had by all and an experience we wouldn't want to have missed. Thank you Joel & Jules for a GREAT night!!
