Alison's son, Lewis, is staying with us for about 12 days on his Easter break from school. We picked him up on Wednesday morning at the train station. On Thursday, we all went down to the river to do some fishing. We started at the main dock near the inlet from the ocean, but didn't have any bites. After that, we hopped over to the other side of the river and tried our luck there. Both of the guys caught a small guppy and I took lots of pictures of the big turtle in the water! It was fun and something we'll definitely do again.
Good Friday/Easter here is a very big holiday. Most stores are closed on Friday and everybody seems to be out enjoying the great weather. Zach and I went to the beach and soaked up some rays. We've been playing a lot of beach tennis, too...really fun.
For Easter, we'll go to church in the morning, then have a small brunch at home. We decided since we're here in Australia this year, why not bring in some good American traditional food...so for Easter dinner, we're going to cook a whole Thanksgiving dinner. We got a 6.5 lb. turkey and plan to do the works with it. We'll let you all know how it goes after Sunday and get Lewis' opinion on it, too.
We hope everyone has a great Easter holiday with family and friends!
