Life for us right now is going pretty fast. Before we know it a new week is here. It's funny how things come in waves - but rest and relaxation seem to always come at the right time. Here's a recap from the last couple of weeks in the Milner family...

Zach's boss treated the office staff and their significant others to a beautiful and perfect day of skiing at Squaw Valley. And I mean, it was absolutely the perfect day. There was fresh powder, not a cloud in the sky with sunshine all day and hardly anyone on the lifts because it was a Monday. It's been really fun for me to get to know his co-workers, too. They are all really gracious and fun-loving people.

Last weekend was Zach's parents 27th wedding anniversary. They were married on Valentine's Day, so it makes for an easy-to-remember and festive anniversary each year. The kids (Zach and siblings) and I wanted to give them a really special and romantic dinner, so we planned an entire night of fine dining where we decorated their living room and served them a 3-course meal. It turned out so great and was really special for them. My mom even came down from Wildwood and played live background music with her cello! It was great.

Last weekend, Zach had the opportunity to visit a job site up in Crescent City, CA...which is on the coast and almost to the border of Oregon. I was able to join him and we had a nice Valentine's weekend driving up the coast and through the Redwoods. We stayed at Requa Bed and Breakfast in Klamath, which used to be a bustling fishing town in the early 1900's and is now a very small sleepy town. The B & B was quaint and rustic. Sunday night we had dinner on the Pier in Crescent City and woke up early Monday morning to drive about an hour to the meeting. After that, we took a back road tour of the Redwoods and began the drive back home. It was a quick 2-day trip, but great to get away and be out in nature.
